GO FISH GETS SNAZZY OCTOBER 9

NEWS SOURCE: Turning Point PR
October 5, 2007

Go Fish MINNEAPOLIS—Go Fish, an emerging force in family entertainment, delivers Snazzy, their fourth recording for children, on October 9. Produced by Jamie Statema and Darren Rust, Snazzy contains 12 songs—nine of them composed by Go Fish founder Statema—continuing the group’s mission of creating relevant music for kids that communicates biblical values.

Highlights of Snazzy include the patriotic anthem “American Kid”; the energy-charged “Superhero”; and “Bible Book Bop,” which offers a memorable way to learn the books of the Bible. In addition, Snazzy features “The Mom Song,” a tribute to mothers everywhere; “Jammies,” a rockin’ bedtime number; and a longtime Go Fish concert favorite, “Itsy Bitsy Spider.”

“Our goal with Snazzy was to shatter every stereotype that comes with creating music for kids,” said Jamie Statema of Go Fish. “We hope the production, songwriting, and overall quality will set a new standard for the genre—and judging from the response we’ve been receiving at our shows, kids and parents are going to love it.”

Go Fish will be bringing the music of Snazzy to kids and families across the country this fall, including upcoming performances in Chicago, Denver, and Charlotte, North Carolina, among other markets. The group will also perform at the Will Graham Kidz Fest in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, on October 6, and at the Franklin Graham Crusade in Tacoma, Washington, on November 3.

Snazzy joins the growing line-up of acclaimed children’s recordings from Go Fish, which also includes Splash, Superstar and Snooze, along with the Showtime DVD. The group released their second Christmas recording, Snow, last year. The Minneapolis-based trio has been covered by such national media as the “Today” Show, American Profile and Focus on the Family magazine, among other outlets. Go Fish live performances have attracted sell-out crowds across the country, including an audience of 14,000 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Snazzy will be distributed by Word Distribution.
